NL: Dit werk nodigt bezoekers uit om stil te staan bij iets kleins maar herkenbaars: hoe je lichaam meebeweegt tijdens het lezen. Op de bank, in een stoel, opgerold, languit of half onderuitgezakt — iedereen heeft een eigen favoriete leesstand.

 

Door een blauwe sticker te plakken bij de houding die het prettigst voelt, ontstaat langzaam een gezamenlijk beeld van hoe mensen lezen en ontspannen.

De installatie draait niet alleen om boeken, maar ook om verbinding. Door iets persoonlijks en alledaags te delen, leren bezoekers elkaar op een speelse manier beter kennen. Het werk maakt zichtbaar dat lezen niet alleen een mentale ervaring is, maar ook een lichamelijke. Je houding, comfort en aandacht zijn onlosmakelijk verbonden met hoe je een verhaal beleeft.

 

 

EN: This work invites visitors to reflect on something small yet familiar: the way your body moves and settles while reading. On the couch, in a chair, curled up, stretched out, or half slouched — everyone has their own favorite reading position.

By placing a blue sticker next to the posture that feels most comfortable, a collective image slowly emerges of how people read and relax.

The installation is not only about books, but also about connection. By sharing something personal and everyday, visitors get to know one another in a playful way. The work highlights that reading is not only a mental experience, but also a physical one. Your posture, comfort, and attention are inseparably connected to the way you experience a story.
